Monday January 14th, 7-9pm, $30.00 FREE REIKI LECTURE (Robyn) The word 'Reiki' comes from the Japanese Rei meaning 'universal' and Ki meaning 'life energy'. This energy is also known of in other cultures, and can as easily be recognized as Prana, Mana, Chi or Ruach. This universal life energy animates all life, and flows through all of us, all of the time. Come to this free introductory lecture to learn more about this beautiful method of healing and relaxation, and to ask any questions that you may have about Reiki and how it works. Friday, January 18th, 7-8 pm FREE REIKI LEVEL ONE (Robyn) Join us in this two day long course to learn all you need to know to become a First Degree Reiki Practitioner. Topics covered will include: the history and origins of Reiki, the ethics of being a Reiki practitioner, what the hand positions are in a full Reiki session, how to treat others as well as yourself, and formal initiation to the Usui Shiki Ryoho style of Reiki using the American Reiki Mastery Association's style of initiations. Celtic Priestess of the Black Forest Tradition Scarlet was born on July 24th,
1972. She has studied Paganism and Wicca since she was 14 years of age. Her
field of expertise focuses on cultures and religions, magical and Wiccan
practices, and research and teaching. She has obtained her BA in Classics and
Anthropology and Certification in Journalism, Graphic Design and Technical
Communication. And recently she added a BA Honours Religion degree to her
repertoire. In 1994, she founded the Concordia University Pagan Society (CUPS)
in an effort to develop awareness of this diverse spirituality. That same year,
she began the Crescent Moon School, which has experienced several evolutions
since. On the public front, Scarlet has published articles and poetry and run a
local magazine (WynterGreene) on alternative spirituality. Maery - Born into a family of
very sensitive and intuitive women, Maerys abilities were accepted and
nurtured at a very young age. Raised in an electic form of shamanism by her
Native American/French Canadian mother and Gaelic Father, she learnt about the
cycles of the earth and how to live in harmony with the world around her,
homeopathy and herbalism, concocting salves, tonics and creams at a very early
age. Seeing her environment around her as being linked to her spirituality, she
also got involved in activism and protesting against animal testing, the use of
GMOs, Globalization and promoting recycling and ethical consumerism. A healer
at heart and self-proclaimed Green Witch, Maerys inherent nature is to
grow, nurture and cultivate joy in the world around her and in other
peoples spirit Robyn - Robyn first came into
the store when she was just 13 and knew right away that she could never really
leave. Now, as a part of the team, she manages the wholesale and production
aspects of the business. Robyn is also a professional Reiki practitioner, a
consummate reader and has a great love for learning |
